Removable heat control window film is the perfect answer to excessive heat from the sun. Static cling heat blocking window film is composed of several layers to reflect heat from the sun and to stop that heat penetrating the room. Static cling solar window film has a mirror effect and will give your home office a luxurious appearance. PT4 film can reflect up to 75% of heat, creating a pleasant indoor climate in your home or office. As well as reflecting excessive heat, PT4 protects against 91% of harmful UV radiation. Harmful UV rays can cause your furnishings to fade. In other words, PT4 film has a two-fold effect. PT4 film is the most reflective removable heat control window film in our range. The mirror effect in PT4 static cling heat window blocking film also creates privacy (blocking unwanted gazes). Static cling solar window film will mirror on the outside and is slightly tinted when viewed from the inside.

Uses for removable cling heat blocking window film

PT4 static cling solar window film with mirror effect is specifically designed to keep out the heat from the sun. However, as well as blocking heat, PT4 film reduces glare from the sun by 83%. It means that screen vision when you use things like computer monitors, television screens and tablets improves considerably without any annoying glare on the screen. Static cling heat blocking window film lets 23% of the light inside – the daylight access – which is quite a high degree compared to its heat blocking properties of 75%. The daylight access refers to the amount of light that the window still lets in once PT4 film has been applied to it. In addition to the advantages above, static cling heat blocking window film creates plenty of privacy too. The film is static, so it is not coated with a layer of glue. As a result, this kind of film is easy to remove and even reuse if necessary, a practical feature for rented homes where the use of permanent film is not permitted. In addition, you can reuse static cling heat blocking window film. Perhaps you do not want removable heat control window film on your windows in the winter months. In that case, simply remove this static film from the glass and store it away until next summer. PT4 film is intended for indoor use, which means that this static cling solar window film should be applied to the inside of the pane.

How to apply window film

This film is easy to apply if you follow our application instructions which come with the product. The application instructions explain step-by-step how to adhere the static cling solar window film. A felt-edged squeegee is an essential piece of equipment which will help you apply the film absolutely perfectly. The felt-edged squeegee will help you smooth out moisture from under the film. PT4 film should be applied to the inside of single and double glazing (not Low E glass with a coating).

Please note: If you have any grade of Low E glass including triple glazing you should never apply this kind of film, PT4, to the inside of your window. Low E glass is coated with a metal finish which does not combine well with removable heat control window film. In fact, it can often cause an expansion crack in the pane. If you have Low E glass, you must always apply heat blocking window film to the outside of a window. In that situation, there is no risk of an expansion crack.
