Description P1WV

Short description
The P1WV is a film with a white/black perforated structure. The perforated structure provides a one-way vision effect. As the film has a black perforated surface on the interior side, the P1WV does not obstruct your view outside in any way. This unique effect occurs because the eye effectively filters out the colour black, automatically shifting its focus to what is visible through the perforations. The white perforated structure on the exterior side of the P1WV works in exactly the opposite way, preventing visibility from outside to inside.

Application
The 1PWV one-way vision film is primarily used as a privacy film with a one-way vision effect. The 1PWV one-way vision film is applied to windows where privacy is required in a subtle way (thanks to its white colour), while maintaining the view outside.

• Attention!

• One-way vision film works on the principle of light-dark contrast. When it is brighter inside than outside, such as in the evening, the privacy effect disappears and visibility from outside becomes possible again. There is no 'one-way vision' film that works both during the day and in the evening. In addition, one-way vision film is less suitable for internal doors or partition walls, as there is usually no clear light-dark contrast in these situations due to the even lighting in both areas.

Application

Preparation
Before applying the P1WV, you must carry out the necessary preparations. The glass should be thoroughly cleaned using SCALASOL® TO-PREPARE and the SCALASOL® glass scraper.

Application on the outside of the glass
The P1WV is applied to the exterior side of the window. It is suitable for all types of flat glass, including Low-E glass.

• Exterior Side of Glass

• The privacy film P1WV can therefore be safely used on thermal insulation glazing. The P1WV is only suitable for application to the exterior side of the glass. This is because the film is black on the interior side and white on the exterior side. To maintain the one-way vision effect, the white side must always face outwards. If the film is applied the other way round, it loses its privacy function and the effect will not work as intended.

The P1WV can be easily applied by yourself using our application tools. The SCALASOL® Felt Squeegee and the SCALASOL® TO-MOVE water additive are essential for a perfect application of the P1WV. Before applying the window film, the glass must be thoroughly cleaned. For this, you can use our glass cleaner SCALASOL® TO-PREPARE.
