Description QMP4
Short description
The QMP4 frosted safety film combines the effect of frosted glass with the properties of a safety film. The film has a matte white color that closely resembles real frosted glass, giving rooms a clear and high-quality appearance. Daylight is evenly distributed throughout the space (diffused light), creating a calm atmosphere and reducing glare on screens. From a distance of 15 to 20 centimeters, visibility is completely blocked, even when it is dark outside and bright inside. At the same time, the film functions as a reliable safety film: in the event of glass breakage, it holds the shards together, significantly reducing the risk of injury or property damage. Thanks to this dual function, the QMP4 is the ideal choice for spaces where both privacy and safety are important.
Application
The QMP4 is frequently used in environments where glass must provide both additional protection and privacy. Typical areas of application include daycare centers, care facilities, sanitary spaces, laboratories, treatment rooms, and public buildings. This film is also perfectly suited for offices or medical practices to prevent unwanted visibility. As the film offers a clear appearance and does not block daylight, the atmosphere of the room remains unaffected. The film is applied to the interior side of the glass and is suitable for all types of flat glass. This versatility makes the QMP4 ideal for both residential and commercial applications.
Certification
The QMP4 is 150 microns thick and meets the European standard EN12600, classification 2B2.
The QMP4 safety film provides additional protection against injury. SCALASOL® can never be held liable for glass breakage, personal injury, or any resulting costs.

* The light measurements (VLT & VLR) were performed using laboratory equipment and are based on monochromatic light. However, it is important to emphasise that these results should be interpreted differently in practical use. Therefore, below we provide a realistic indication of light transmission in practical applications on a bright, sunlit summer day.
