Description SGP65
Short description
Smoked glass window film has been specially developed to easily upgrade your existing glass to luxurious smoked glass. Smoked glass, also known as tinted glass, is often considered a luxurious and exclusive addition to clear glass. Smoked glass is becoming increasingly popular, particularly for use in black steel loft doors. With smoked glass window film, you can achieve the same effect as (expensive) smoked glass. The SGP65 is a brown / bronze smoked glass window film with a tint level of 10%.
Application
Smoked glass window films are commonly applied to glass interior doors and partitions. Examples include black steel loft doors and pivot doors, shower screens, and so on. Smoked glass window film is suitable for a wide range of applications. Please note: smoked glass window film is not suitable for exterior windows.

You can order SGP65 to your exact measurements, down to the last millimetre. However, if you prefer to order SGP65 in a standard size, you will find the options under the tab 'Standard size'. If you are working on a large project and would like to order a whole role of SGP65 film, go to the tab 'Full roll'. The tabs are on this product page.
Application
Preparation
Before applying the SGP65, you must carry out the necessary preparations. The glass should be thoroughly cleaned using SCALASOL® TO-PREPARE and the SCALASOL® glass scraper.
Application on the inside of the glass
The SGP65 is only suitable for installation on indoor glass. The SGP65 is suitable for all types of flat glass. For an interior glass door or partition, it does not matter which side of the glass you apply the SGP65 smoked glass window film to. As it is an indoor application, there is no specific side on which the film must be installed.
Exterior Windows
-
The SGP65 has not been developed for use on exterior windows, but is exclusively suitable for indoor applications, such as interior doors and glass partitions. This is because smoked glass window film has a high heat absorption rate. When the film is applied to exterior windows and exposed to direct sunlight, this can lead to excessive heat absorption, increasing the risk of thermal glass breakage. Therefore, the SGP65 is only recommended for indoor use.

* The light measurements (VLT & VLR) were performed using laboratory equipment and are based on monochromatic light. However, it is important to emphasise that these results should be interpreted differently in practical use. Therefore, below we provide a realistic indication of light transmission in practical applications on a bright, sunlit summer day.
