Short description
Reflective window film is used in areas where privacy is required. Viewed from outside, the privacy window film has a mirror effect, while from inside it appears lightly tinted. You retain your view outside, but people outside can no longer see inside. The mirror effect occurs because it is brighter outside than inside. If it is brighter inside than outside (e.g. in the evening), the mirror effect disappears and visibility from outside becomes possible again. Thanks to its reflective properties, the window film also helps keep heat outside. In addition to providing privacy, the film therefore also offers solar protection. The PP70 is an interior window film. This means that the PP70 must be applied to the interior side of the glass.

Application
Once the reflective window film has been applied, the glass takes on a mirror-like appearance. This gives your home or business premises a luxurious appearance. The reflective window film is a perfect solution for creating privacy in a simple way. This keeps your (expensive) belongings out of sight of unwanted visitors. Another advantage of this privacy window film is that you retain your view outside.

Cleaning
For cleaning window film, we recommend using SCALASOL® TO-CLEAN. This specially developed window film cleaner can be used in combination with a soft cloth or window squeegee. Avoid harsh chemicals such as ammonia or bleach, as these can damage the film. Instead, use a mild cleaning agent or a diluted solution of water with a small amount of dishwashing liquid.

• Attention!

• Reflective window film works on the principle of light-dark contrast. When it is brighter inside than outside, such as in the evening, the mirror effect disappears and visibility from outside becomes possible again. There is no 'one-way vision' film that works both during the day and in the evening. In addition, reflective window film is not suitable for internal doors or partition walls, as there is usually no clear light-dark contrast in these situations due to the even lighting in both areas.

Application

Preparation
Before applying the PP70, you must carry out the necessary preparations. The glass should be thoroughly cleaned using SCALASOL® TO-PREPARE and the SCALASOL® glass scraper.

Application on the inside of the glass
The PP70 is applied to the interior side of the window. It is suitable for all types of flat glass, except laminated safety glass, Low-E glass, and triple glazing.

• Low-E / Triple / Laminated glass

• If you have high-performance glazing (Low-E / triple glazing) or Laminated glass, the PP70 must not be applied to the interior side of the glass. This can lead to thermal glass breakage. Mirror films must always be applied to the exterior side of these types of glass. This is the only way to avoid the risk of thermal breakage. In this case, choose a transparent burglary-resistant window film. For this, you should choose a reflective exterior window film.

Application difficulty level

The PP70 can be easily applied by yourself using our application tools. The SCALASOL® Felt Squeegee and the SCALASOL® TO-MOVE water additive are essential for a perfect application of the PP70. Before applying the window film, the glass must be thoroughly cleaned. For this, you can use our glass cleaner SCALASOL® TO-PREPARE.
