Description ORR
Short description
As a pet owner, you are probably familiar with this sight: a cat or dog clawing at the window with its claws. Your pet’s sharp claws can leave irreparable abrasions in the pane. However, you can prevent such scratch marks with anti scratch film. Anti scratch film must be applied to the inside of the pane, to give the glass a decent layer of protection. There is no need to replace the pane if a dog or cat leaves marks on it: all you need to do is remove the film from the window, because the abrasions are in the film rather than in the glass itself. This will save you the considerable expense of a new pane of glass. Are you looking to protect your windows against things like vandalism, such as objects being drawn along the glass? In such situations, glass protection film offers the perfect solution. Our window protection film is 123 microns thick, so it is practically impossible to damage the glass through the film.
Application
Our window protection film is transparent and consequently does not change the visibility or daylight, either from inside or outside. That is one of the reasons why window protection film can be used for historic and listed buildings! This film is used in public transport, in vehicles like buses, trains, trams and metro carriages, as well as in buildings. Unfortunately, people deliberately scratch glass far too often. Protect your windows from this form of vandalism. Besides protecting against scratching, ORR film also protects against loose shards if the glass is broken. The film holds the shards of glass together, so they do not come loose and injure passengers or passers-by, so this safety film actually has a two-fold effect.
Anti-scratch film serves as an extra protection against scratches/vandalism. SCALASOL® can never be held liable for glass damage and the resulting costs.
Adhesion through an adhesive layer
-
The ORR adheres to the glass using an adhesive layer – a mounting method in which the film bonds firmly to the glass with a thin layer of adhesive. This ensures a durable and stable installation. The ORR can later be removed using the SCALASOL® TO-REMOVE removal kit for window films. After removal, the glass returns to its original, undamaged condition.

* The light measurements (VLT & VLR) were performed using laboratory equipment and are based on monochromatic light. However, it is important to emphasise that these results should be interpreted differently in practical use. Therefore, below we provide a realistic indication of light transmission in practical applications on a bright, sunlit summer day.
