Brief Explanation
The special DOWSIL™ 995 sealant is extremely strong and resilient. It is the most commonly used sealant for safety films. This sealant acts as a structural bond between the glass with safety film and the window frame. This helps prevent the entire glass panel with safety film from detaching from the frame during high-impact situations. With its high tensile strength, DOWSIL™ 995 is ideal for absorbing energy from explosions, extreme weather, vandalism, and break-in attempts.

Application
Thanks to its high impact-energy absorption, DOWSIL™ 995 significantly reduces the risk of broken glass with safety film detaching from the frame. It must be applied to the interior side of the glass.

Usage
DOWSIL™ 995 is also suitable for outdoor use. It is UV-resistant and performs well across a wide temperature range. The sealant is easy to apply using a standard caulking gun. One tube of DOWSIL™ 995 covers approximately 35 linear meters.

Note: Wait approximately 1–2 weeks after applying the safety film before using DOWSIL™ 995 sealant.
