Description QS4E
Short description
The transparent fall-through protection window film for exterior use is the ideal solution to prevent or reduce injuries in the event of an impact on the glass, for example due to falling or colliding. Rigid anti shatter glass film holds the glass together if the pane is cracked, so no glass shards come loose. In other words, safety film is extremely suitable for the food industry, because splinters of broken glass will never be scattered around. It also means that this kind of shatterproof film for windows is popular in day-care centres, schools, club canteens and other areas in which injuries could be caused if a glass pane is broken. This film has a thickness of 123 microns, so it is easy to apply to the glass yourself. The film is not just a security solution, it also blocks 99% of the harmful UV radiation in sunlight that enters your home through the window. In other words, it prevents your furnishings and household goods from fading.
Application
This anti shatter glass film is transparent and consequently does not change the visibility or amount of daylight, either from inside or outside. The film does not alter the architectural features of a building, so this film can be used in historic or listed buildings. Another advantage is that this film blocks out harmful UV rays, so it will stop your furnishings and furniture from fading. Because the fall protection window film complies with the requirements of standard EN12600 (Body Impact Resistance), your existing glass becomes significantly safer after the safety film is applied, helping to prevent injuries or the release of loose shards. Our shatter proof film for windows is formally classified in the 2B2 DIN EN 12600 class, certification issued by the testing laboratory for safety glass at MPA-NRW. The official certification for our safety window film can be found at the bottom of this page. QS4E film protects your surroundings from injury caused by glass shards. In addition, QS4E film ensures that your manufacturing line does not need to shut down if glass is broken in a food production hall.
The QS4E safety film provides additional protection against injury. SCALASOL® can never be held liable for glass breakage, personal injury, or any resulting costs.
Regulations regarding safety glass
-
In public buildings such as shops, schools, or offices, the use of break-resistant glass or safety film is often required. In particular, glass surfaces below a height of 1 meter as well as glass doors must be equipped in a way that prevents injuries in the event of glass breakage. The applicable standard in this context is the European norm EN 12600, which classifies the impact resistance of glass.

* The light measurements (VLT & VLR) were performed using laboratory equipment and are based on monochromatic light. However, it is important to emphasise that these results should be interpreted differently in practical use. Therefore, below we provide a realistic indication of light transmission in practical applications on a bright, sunlit summer day.
